UK Fire Service Hosted Germany's Fire Service In A Table Tennis Tournament at Shrewsbury Sports Village
The UK Fire Service hosted their German colleagues at Shrewsbury Sports Village in a two-day team and doubles event.
The UK had their finest players on show including new national champion Steve Chu, as well as other players from all parts of the country.
Veterans and former World Firefighter Games gold medallists Thomas Vogel and Norbet Von den Benken lead the German team, which also included further strong players.
Due to adverse weather conditions, some players couldn't attend the event, but there was still a great turn out, with 30 players in total putting on their best performance to try and become a new champion.
The overall singles event winner was German player, Nik Tokarek, with the runner up also from the German team, Julian Malz.
Winners of the doubles event were German's, Julian Malz and Torsten Kalmund. With the runners up being a mixed team of UK's Aaron Thompson and Germany's Mats Tokarek.
