Blue Flume Closure:

Our blue flume is closed for scheduled maintenance. Our phones are currently not working but our centre and other facilities are open as usual. We’re working hard to ensure everything is in top shape, and we’ll keep you updated on when it will be back open. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Pool Closure:

As part of the ongoing investment in the facilities, we are preparing to upgrade the moveable floor in the swimming pool. Unfortunately, this vital work means our pool will temporarily close from Monday 4 November until the New Year.

5 ways to make the most of the clocks going forward

Mar 01, 2024 | Blog
The clocks go forward by 1 hour at 1am on Sunday 31st March – hooray for spring!

With that in mind, the longer, brighter spring days are an ideal time to get active and increase your social schedule.

Check out our tips below on how to make the most of those extra daylight hours.

1. Try a workout class

2. Workout with a friend

The brighter weather can be great for improving motivation. So why not share that extra motivation with a friend and workout together?

3. Go for a walk

Walking is simple, free and one of the easiest ways to get more active. Now that the days will be getting brighter for longer, it’s the perfect time to add a walk into your daily routine or to cool down after a workout.

Try walking around your local area or visiting a nearby park. Share your walk with a family member or friend and exercise while having a good catch-up.

4. Visit family or friends

Travelling to visit family or friends becomes easier as the daylight hours grow longer, and the weather gets better. It’s a great opportunity to get out the house and off our devices.

Social interaction is just as important to your wellbeing as healthy eating and exercising.

5. Have a BBQ

Longer days, warmer temperatures - perfect for us to eat outside and enjoy the boost of positivity that comes with spring. What better way to celebrate spring than with a delicious BBQ and dining al fresco.

With the Easter holidays and the bank holidays on the horizon, it will be an ideal time to have the first BBQ of the year!
